Demi Moore plays a clairvoyant living on a North Carolina island, who believes she has received a sign that love is about to catch up with her. Convinced that the next man to come along will be her husband, she marries a butcher from New York and moves to the big city with him, where her powers stir things up in the neighbourhood.
