The collaboration of the famed writer/director who created the "yanggang" (macho) kung-fu film and swordswoman supreme Cheng Pei-Pei (now famous for Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon) is exceptional indeed, resulting in the best of all possible martial arts worlds.
